Here's what we need…

You should be confident, friendly and speak excellent English. We love foreign people and are especially keen on anyone who can speak French as there seem to be lots of French customers around.  Who knows why? We love chatty people with energy and enthusiasm and if you've previously worked in a shop, that'd be a bonus too.

It's fun here, with lots of nice customers and a very friendly team.  We drink lots of tea and eat cakes quite a lot, but bear in mind that we are also a busy little company and your duties and responsibilities reflect that. They are  varied, and day-to-day are likely to include: serving customers, in person, on the phone & web, using computerised till and payment systems, unpacking & displaying stock, using ladders, pricing goods, cleaning floors, washing windows, paperwork & filing, some carrying and lifting of stock, inc. furniture & accepting deliveries.

You will be expected to maintain a good knowledge of the goods in our shops. Dress code is reasonably smart, and you will  be required to wear an apron, which we will provide. Hours 10 am to 6 pm, 11-5 Sundays. 45 minutes lunch.
