| Circa 1900, this nursing chair is an elegant delight. The curved, hand carved arms feel lovely to stroke and the vertical back splats run all the way to the bottom of the chair in an almost Macintosh fashion. The rush seat is original, with a little damage, but not enough to warrant replacing it and losing its character. Attributed to Shapland & Petter of Barnstaple. |
