This chair has the look and deep seat of a classic, club chair and comes with darkstained, turned feet in a very convincingly vintage-looking cracked leather.
Only supplied in one size 89 x 95 x 85 cm, but 2 colours a browny vintage cigar and Ebony - there is no complementary sofa in this range. We often keep some in stock for immediate delivery, but if we don't have what you need in stock, it usually takes between 8 - 12 weeks to order.
REALLY, REALLY IMPORTANT
These chairs are coloured by hand - layer-upon-painstaking-layer. The hide is deliberately aged and has faults and cracks that are both natural and added, the upholstery is baggy in places, as though it's been sat in for some years to create a pretty convincingly vintage appearance. The picture of the chair below is a rough representation only. It's a photo of one we have in our shop, but computer screens and printers can change tones and hues.
If having a precise colour is important to you, or you want the leather to be unblemished - please don't order this chair.
If you have a London postcode, we can deliver it for you for £45 - that pays for 2 nice, strong men who will put it in place anywhere you like (within reason). Delivery outside London, but within the M25 is £100 and delivery outside the M25 on the UK mainland anywhere as far as Edinburgh is £145. While outside London you might get a nice strong man or two, they're not our strong men - so they might not be as nice as our strong men, but a cup of tea usually goes a long way with nice, strong men - in our experience. Please ask for a quote if you need it delivered abroad.
Technical:
Please note that as the leather is coloured by hand and done in different batches and at different times, it is not possible to guarantee a match to either the shop sample or a previously purchased item from the range.
CONSTRUCTION & FILLING:
The frame is made from hardwood - usually beech or oak, which has been jointed, glued and screwed as necessary, with some man-made panels. The seats are sprung with zig-zag springs. The leather is South American cow hide, which has been tanned in Italy.
FIRE:
The King's Road Chair is fully compliant with current UK fire safety regulations - the strictest in the world - and considerably more stringent that those of the European Union. They are classed as CRIB 3 which means that they are suitable for domestic use, but we are able to provide them to CRIB 5 commercial standards upon request, for an extra fee and a longer production time.
GUARANTEE:
The King's Road Chair is guaranteed for a period of 5 years against defects in materials or workmanship. The guarantee does not cover damage or repairs necessary as a result of misuse, negligence, accident, neglect or wear and tear. |
