The Manhattan range comprises 2 different style sofas in 2 sizes, a love seat, an armchair and footstool. The body and arms of each piece is upholstered in distressed antique-effect, hand-coloured, uncorrected and somewhat wrinkly hide - giving this the look of a rather well-used old friend. The inner and outer back is covered in a deep red plaid. The overstuffed seat cushions (and back cushions on the regular sofa, love seat and armchair) are covered in a deep crushed velvety chenille fabric with an embossed, subtle floral motif. Each piece is accented with scatter cushions and bolsters upholstered in either plaid, chenille or both.

Both the Solid and Scatter versions of the sofa come in a large (WDH: 226 x 101 x 92 cm) and small (WDH:198 x 101 x 92 cm) size. The love seat has the proportions of a very small sofa (WDH:138 x 101 x 92 cm) and the armchair (WDH: 106 x 101 x 92 cm). We commonly keep some in stock for immediate delivery, but if we don't have what you need in stock, it usually takes between 8 - 12 weeks to order.

Technical:
The legs unscrew and are 9cms tall, therefore the overall height can be reduced to 85cms if you need a little more manouevering room for delivery. Please bear in mind that the sofas come ready assembled in a box, but with the feet NOT screwed on.  You're supplied with a tool to quickly bolt them into place. 

Please note that as the leather is coloured by hand and done in different batches and at different times, it is not possible to guarantee a match to either the shop sample or a previously purchased item from the range.

CONSTRUCTION & FILLING:

The frame is made from hardwood - usually beech or oak, which has been jointed, glued and screwed as necessary, with some man-made panels. The cushions are zipped and are machine washable cold. The fillings are a mixture of foam, fibre & duck down. The seats are sprung with zig-zag springs. The leather is South American cow hide, which has been tanned in Italy.

FIRE:
The Manhattan range is fully compliant with current UK fire safety regulations - the strictest in the world - and considerably more stringent that those of the European Union. They are classed as CRIB 3 which means that they are suitable for domestic use.

GUARANTEE:

The Manhattan Range is guaranteed for a period of 5 years against defects in materials or workmanship. The guarantee does not cover damage or repairs necessary as a result of misuse, negligence, accident, neglect or wear and tear.
